Part of the journey is always about bringing what lies hidden to greater consciousness. The most important thing, however, is establishing an environment in which you feel calm, safe, heard, understood, and supported, so that whatever comes to consciousness in therapy is received in a way which fosters understanding, self-acceptance, growth and personal development.

Feelings like these, and many others, can arise in so many different ways. This requires a blend of different approaches. I integrate the more psychoanalytical work with transpersonal methods such as visualization, compassionate mindfulness, dreamwork, and creative imagination. I have a particular interest in helping adult children, or family members of alcoholics.
First I offer a free session, in which you can ask all you want and decide if you would like to work with me. Once we start therapy I will give you all the space you need to talk about things that may be really challenging and painful. Psychotherapy can be short-term, focused on a particular issue, or it can be longer term, more like an ongoing exploration of yourself and everything that matters to you.
